Title: During Medieval Times communication was not as easy as it is today' The King had to use audible or v

1
During Medieval Times communication was not as
easy as it is today. The King had to use audible
or verbal messages to speak to his subjects. They
were not always the most reliable or safe way to
send information.
Few people could read or write, therefore sounds
and symbols were the main way to communicate.
Lets look at a few of these
2
Hear Ye! Hear Ye! The King is summoning all his
servants to court!
3
Men who made announcements were sometimes called
criers. Do you know why?
Because they would cry (callout) the information.
4
The King makes an announcement
People would meet in groups, both small and
large, to spread the news.
Knights of the Round Table
5
Carrier Pigeons were used to deliver messages
(could they be used safely?).
But she said she was the Queen, how was I to
know that she was a spy!
Please dont behead me !! Please!
6
Trumpets and Horns were used to announce the
King, to begin a ceremony, to start or end a
battle, and to entertain. The type of sound
coming from the instrument gave a specific
message to the person listening.
