Activities Accomplishments

• Reviewed departmental reports at each of the
  regular MSE meetings
• Responded to members queries and request for
  support.
• Developed and Hosted two orientation sessions for
  new medical staff , including welcome reception
  attended by members of the Medical Staff
  Executive and administration.

Activities Accomplishments

• Approved 19,500 in bursaries for resident and
  fellow research. 13 awards of 1500.
• Reviewed and Amended the Terms of Reference for
  the 2005 Fellowship Awards
• Executive committee members represent the Medical
  Staff at HSC MAC meetings.
• Participated in activities raised by HSC
  Administration Focus groups, Leadership
  retreat, review of the HSC paging system

Activities Accomplishments

• President attends the WRHA Medical Staff Council
  Meetings. WRHA- MSC members will represent the
  medical staff at the WRHA Medical Executive
  Committee (MEC). Council chair sits on the WRHA
  Board
• Contributed to revisions on new WRHA Medical
  Staff Bylaws. The New Bylaw has been approved by
  the medical staff, WRHA MAC, the WRHA Board the
  Minister of Health. The Bylaw is on line at
  http//www.wrha.mb.ca/medbylaw/

Activities Accomplishments

• Hosted the 2005 Annual Residents Appreciation
  Dinner and Dance. Approximately 400 residents
  and medical staff attended.
• Conducted an informal needs assessment.
• Medical staff person of the year award
• Developed an HSC Medical Staff Newsletter
• Developed a Brochure for new members of the
  medical Staff
• Supported the ongoing operational costs of the
  Medical Staff Council Room in GH 232 including
  daily newspapers, internet access, laundry pickup.
