Project Focus

• Utilize Graphics Library to display time-series
  images on Tile Display Wall through
  user-controlled interface
• Enables playback of high-resolution images as if
  it were a movie
• Visualization playback control panel with buttons
  similar to DVD player buttons

Possible Side Project

• Automated object detection in images to assist
  identification
• Tool to detect changes amongst images
• Useful for subtleties the naked eye cannot catch

Progress at host site

• Settled in to new work environment
• Created account to access server and other
  computing resources
• Tested servers for compatibility
• Installed a few software applications for usage
• Currently learning Graphics User Interface (GUI)
  program called FOX Toolkit

Intended accomplishments for next week

• Debug programming errors of FOX Toolkit example
  applications
• Test out example to learn software script
• If successful, will try to create own control
  panel and buttons
