The Point of Discussion Topic

• The point of the discussion topic, planned in
  advance, is to educate the club on as many sides
  of the political spectrum as possible on an
  issue.
• Each side demonstrated is to discuss why their
  policy is good taking into account current events.

• This Sunday - Bowling at Christiansburg
• Next Monday - Pictures, Lobbying Reform, Current
  Events
• That Wednesday - Bball _at_10 in War
• That Thursday - Social at The Gobbler

• Career Discussion Day
• We are working to bring people in to talk to us
  about what we can do with a PSCI or IS degree,
  how to go about it, and when to do it.
• Advisors, local political leaders, etc

LATER IN THE SEMESTER

• March 12th (Nominations open for Officer
  positions)
• Dr. Stivachtis will be here to discuss UN
  Peacekeeping operations in Africa and the Middle
  East.
• March 19th - Trafficking in Persons Discussion,
  presentation. (Nominations close, vote on new
  officers)
• March 23rd - Tony McNulty will be speaking at the
  PSCI Depts 30th anniversary.

End of March /April

• March 26th - Virginia State Politics Discussion
• April 2nd - Nelson on Governments, ME, EU, N.
  Am., etc

Sports/Socials

• The point of our socials is twofold.
• - We want to keep things civilized when
  discussion becomes heated.
• - We want to meet new people Hang out at other
  houses.
• - We want to do these at a time that does not
  already affect your social lives.

What Socials, What Sports

• Bake -Off Social, After (during) Sports, After
  large events (McNulty), for the hell of it (The
  gobbler).
• Bowling at NRV Sundays at 9PM, Basketball,
  Dodgeball tourney, Softball, Ultimate Frisbee?
• Football/Soccer when it gets warmer.
