HISD Foundations Certification Using ExecuTrain

• Mastery in four (4) areas required to achieve
  Foundations Certification
• Introduction to Operating System (Windows 98 or
  MAC OS 9.0)
• Introduction to Email (Outlook 98)
• Introduction to the Internet (Internet Explorer
  5.0)
• Introduction to Word Processing (Word 97)
• Training options to achieve Foundations
  Certification using ExecuTrain
• Online self-paced computer based training
  course(s) pre-test, individualized instruction,
  post-test
• Using your Web Browser logon to the following
  URL http//www.virtualcampus.executrain.com/
• Use your 5 digit HISD employee number followed by
  HISD (12345HISD) for your log in
• Use the word password as the password to log on
  to the page
• The list of HISD Foundations Courses are on the
  right hand side
• Click on the link to the course you wish to take
  (the course name that is underlined)
• That will take you to the page that has the
  course information. Click on the Take Assessment
  under the heading Course Activities
• There will be about 15 multiple choice questions
  to answer.
• Once you have answered all the questions, click
  the Finish button.
• If you miss questions, the next screen that shows
  up will Recommend you take these lessons in the
  course. Click on the objective below the Lessons
  to view the tutorial.
• Once you have completed all the Recommend
  sections, you will be able to print a
  certificate, however, if your score on the
  original test was below 80, you may need to
  retake the assessment.
• You need 100 completion of the Recommendations
  to complete the course and print a certficate.
  You will need 80 or better on test to receive
  HISD Foundations credit for the course.
• You can change your personal information,
  including your password by clicking on Edit
  Personal Information in the upper right corner.
  Be sure to put you have an e-mail address in the
  e-mail box.
