8Kavango Project, Namibia
- Namdeb has earned a 51 interest by committing to
fund a US4.8m work program over 24 months. - Objective to develop and test new kimberlite
targets. - Year 1 will concentrating on drilling to close
off Omatako anomaly and on geophysical
orientation work. - Airborne survey work and drilling planned for
Year 2. - Namdeb can increase interest to 65 by fully
funding to feasibility

10LESOTHO KIMBERLITE LOCALITY MAP
11MOTHAE KIMBERLITE OVERVIEW
- Discovered in 1961 by Basutoland Diamond Ltd.
Located 6.5 kilometers north-west of the Letseng
diamond mine. - The pipe is 8.8 ha in area, and is essentially
exposed at surface (covered by a thin veneer of
gravels and peat). - Historical prospecting inadequate to determine
economic potential - recovered approx 300 carats
and indicated grades of 0.27 to 4.95 cpht
(average 2.28 cpht). - The Mothae kimberlite has potential to be a world
class diamond producer - High tonnage potential
- Grade consistent with Letseng mine potential to
be higher. - Sampling needed to determine diamond value.

12MOTHAE SURFACE EXPRESSION
- Determination of the diamond grade and value at
Mothae will require a large bulk sample of the
kimberlite - on the order of 100,000 tonnes. -
- This assessment of economic potential can be made
relatively quickly and at modest cost (estimated
at US8.0 million). - Mothae is a pre-feasibility diamond project ready
to go.
13THE LETSENG DIAMOND MINE
Letseng Main Pit
- Returned to production by JCI in 2004.
-
- Controlling interest recently bought by Gem
Diamond Mining Company of Africa Limited (Gem)
for R879.5 million. - Main pipe (15.9ha) and a satellite pipe (4.7ha).
- Diamond grades are between 2 and 2.5 carats per
hundred tonnes of kimberlite, diamond value is
reported to average US1,889 per carat. - The high average diamond value is a result of
consistent but infrequent recovery of very large,
exceptional quality type IIA diamonds.

14Expected Letseng-Type Diamond Size Distribution
Sample Size in Carats Recovered
- The number of large stones recovered from a 300
carat parcel is too low to provide an indication
of the presence of large stones. - A parcel size of 1000 carats is necessary to
determine whether an ultra-coarse diamond
population is present, but will not reliably show
value potential. - If an ultra-coarse diamond population is present,
a 3000 carat parcel should provide an indication
of value potential. A larger parcel will be
needed to determine average stone value.
