- Achievements
- Multi-sports programme 46 young people aged
814 years took part in a variety of sports
activities at Beauchamp College with links to
local sports clubs - Club Dance over 125 youngsters aged 3-16 years
participated in the Club Dance initiative held at
Parklands Leisure Centre - Swim programme for people with special
needs/disabilities, held at Wigston Swimming pool
- Kathak Dancing 30 young people participated in
this traditional Indian Dance activity held at
Guthlaxton College - Student Volunteers Programme Year 12 student
volunteers recruited from Beauchamp College and
Guthlaxton College to assist with a variety of
local sports activities under the direction of
the lead sports coaches - Sports Club Directory the Oadby Wigston
Directory published in April 2006, provides
details of all sports clubs in the borough - Teenage parents physical activity programme 15
young parents participated in a variety of
activities including post natal fitness, baby
massage, diet exercise and visits to local
leisure facilities
