Student Behaviors
  • Be prompt
  • In squad 3-4 minutes after the tardy bell.
  • Be prepared
  • Have clothes and assignments with you.
  • Be a positive participant
  • This is a participation class. Everyone is
    expected to participate everyday.
  • Be productive
  • Always do your best, and turn in work on time.
  • Be a problem solver
  • Correct problems quickly and peacefully before
    they escalate.

Show Respect
  • Value yourself. Be honest and ethical, and
    practice strong moral values.
  • Treat all class members, teachers and visitors
    with respect.
  • Honor the ideas and opinions of others.
  • Offer to help.
  • Be responsible with property and belongings.
  • Report any lost or found items to the teacher.
  • Leave equipment alone until permission is given
    to use it.

Responsibility for Coursework
  • Bring clothes to change and appropriate shoes
    that are tied before class and remain tied to the
    satisfaction of the teacher.
  • Participate everyday.
  • A student well enough to be in school is
    generally well enough to be dressed and
    participate in PE.
  • Do your best in the activity planned for that
    day.
  • Know due dates of assignments and tests.
  • Make up any missed days 10 minutes for each day
    missed, or no PE clothes, on exercise bike.

Policies
  • Food, beverages and gum are not allowed in the
    classroom.
  • Please be in the gym when the bell rings, and in
    your squad 3-4 minutes after that.
  • Appropriate clothing, no jewelry or gum.
  • Hair must pulled back so you can see (teacher
    discretion)
  • PE clothes should not be worn under or over
    clothes that were worn to school.
  • Absences
  • Each absence needs to be made up.
  • Ask the teacher if anything else was missed.
  • Ask permission before returning to the locker
    room during class.

  • You are required to dress everyday unless you
    have a doctors note.
  • Parent notes can be written for a maximum of 3
    days.
  • Appropriate clothing and shoes
  • No clothing that was worn to school
  • No tank tops or cut-off sleeves
  • No inappropriate wording or pictures
  • Must cover the student well shorts/shirts for
    girls must be long enough and big enough to cover
    well
  • No sagging shorts shorts must be pulled up to
    the waist
  • Please have non-marking tennis shoes no hiking
    boots or thick soled shoes
  • Make sure to wear socks

Other Information
  • Locks
  • Everyone should have a school issued lock,
    replacement cost is 5.00. One person per locker.
  • Conduct in locker area
  • Dont wait for friends
  • No rough play or fighting
  • No swearing or vulgar language
  • No running or chasing others
  • Deodorant goes only one place!
  • Leave school property alone, such as bulletin
    boards, marker or chalk boards, posters, ect.

Grading
  • Grades are based on the accumulation of points.
  • Points are based on
  • Class participation (effort)
  • Tests and assignments
  • Skills tests
  • Grades are posted on Parent Connect.
  • Grades are updated weekly by the teacher.
  • This class counts for graduation requirements.
  • Our Grading Scale
  • 94-100 A
  • 86-93 B
  • 78-85 C
  • 70-77 D
  • Below 70 F
  • Grades are calculated on cumulative percentage
    and are rounded up whenever possible.
