5Overview map shows location of zoomed in map.
User can also click on any area of overview map
and main map will move to that area.

Active Layer
Click on feature from active layer you want to
identify
View results from the attribute table of
identified feature

Additional operators for more options
Enter criteria or select from list
Choose field for query
Select operator
Click add to Query string button to add the above
query into the box next to button. If using
additional operators add 1st query, then and,
or etc. then 2nd query. Execute when done.

10Find tool
Active Layer
Type in search string. Example JPS

12Measure tool and Set Units tool
Measures total distance and distance for each
segment. Set pointer on starting point and
click. Move to end point and click again.
This is your segment distance. Drag mouse to
next measure point and click again. See segment
distance. Dont move mouse from point until
ready to measure next part as segment distance
will start measuring for the new segment.

Scale Bar
Select desired units of measure. This will also
effect the map scale bar as well.
13Select by rectangle
To use this tool, position mouse tool at top left
corner of desired area. Holding mouse button
down, drag pointer to bottom right of desired
area. Release mouse button. This will select
all features of active layer that are within or
intersect the selection rectangle.
14Select by line/poly
Useful for selecting multiple polygons. When done
selecting Click on Complete Line and Select
15Highlights selected features
Attribute data for selected features.
Click here to zoom in to selected features.
16Ideal for selecting point or line data. Click
around the area you want to select. Then
click Complete Polygon and Select button.
17Results
Attribute data for selected features. Can zoom
to selected features.
18Clear selected features
Clicking on this tool will clear all selected
features. It will also clear out queries and
measurements made using the query, find or
measure tools.
19Buffered area. Selected point is in center.
Set distance. When done, click Create Buffer.
Pick layer from list.
- You may create a buffer around a selected feature
or features of layer selected in the drop down
box. This - can be used to determine other features within a
certain distance of the selected feature. The
units used in the - buffer will be determined by the units set on the
map (see set unitssection).
20Print map tool.
Area of interest. What ever is in your map view
will be what is shown on your map.
Appropriate descriptive title.
21Use your browsers Print functions to Print out
the map.
Items included from map viewer are main map view,
overview map, legend, north arrow and scale bar.
22Download shapefile tool.
This tool allows the user to download, in
shapefile format, all of the Visible data
layers. Cllick on the save button to save
desired folder.
23Options
This tool allows for certain user defined
options. Choose the option you want to set from
the drop down box and click the Set Option
button. Set desired parameters. Close Menu when
done.
24This in known as the layer selection area or
table of contents. This area contains all of the
available data layers for display and query. In
this area the user has the ability to turn layers
on and off (check box). Turn labels on and off
(label tag). And change the active layer for
querying and analysis purposes (radio
button). The Refresh Map button will update the
map when you make a change. Auto Refresh
(check box below) will update automatically.
Reset Map will set map back to the original
settings when first opened. Exit Map will take
you back to the main page. Below that button is
a small legend that explains what each of the
symbols mean.
This is the legend. This will define the
symbology used on the map. If a layer is
checked visible in the table of contents, then
it will be shown in the Legend. For areas that
are shaded, the color representation will be
described.
