  • differences in mental processes of perception,
    judgment, categorization, etc.
  • Perspectives ways of representing situations
    and problems. When we say that people have
    diverse perspectives we mean that they see or
    envision the set of possibilities differently.
    Perspectives are how we organize knowledge.

  • Heuristics ways of generating solutions or
    problems. Heuristics apply within perspectives.
    Given a perspective, a heuristic tells a person
    where to search for new solutions or what actions
    to take. Heuristics can vary in their
    sophistication, and they can be immediate
    reactions to situations or simple rules of thumb.

  • Predictive Models describe causal relationships
    between objects or events and serve as shorthand
    to make sense of the world.
