GOOD TEST LABS

• In response to the trade boom worldwide in the
  last decades and for the sake of its liberation,
  which international trade agreements and pacts
  worked for, we had a strategy to work out.
• Most importantly, a well equipped specialized
  series (group) of laboratories were established
  to test the quality for industrial and
  engineering products in order to protect the
  consumer the exporter and the importer alike, not
  to mention the national economics.
• Testing methods inside our laboratories are
  carried out according to the Egyptian standards
  issued by E.O.S as well as the international
  standards recognized by E.O.S

Laboratory testing capabilities within G.O.E.I.C
branches

• G.O.E.I.C has a variety of labs to control for
  the quality and ensure the safety of industrial
  products in accordance with the requirements of
  Egyptian standards or international valid
  standards which are recognized by E.O.S

• The G.O.E.I.C labs are distributed to the
  different outlets as follows
• Cairo airport comprises 34 labs.
• Alex. And Dekhila sea ports together have 12
  labs.
• Port-Said contains 7 labs.
• Damietta port has got 5 labs.
• Al-Adabyya port in Suez comprises 2 labs.

Labs are provided with trained technical cadre

• Technicians 37
• Attendants 12

Specialists working in labs are being also
trained on many fields that serve in their
proficiency testing and well-performance. They
are, subsequently, joined local training programs
in Egypt or abroad. Euro med quality program has
been an outstanding external example.
Most of the engineers and specialists who are
working in these labs are members in E.O.S
different committees that project, revise and
issue the Egyptian quality standards.

Air cleaners, Fuel and Oil filters, Engine
overhaul sets-pistons, Liners, Rings, Bushings

Clutch discs and brake pads.

labs
The No. of shipments that have been examined over
the year 2006 is 34519. That consisted of 171397
samples were tested and yielded 97 of the total
to having been complied (accepted).

Aspects of development and innovation within labs
An extra 19 labs have been established for
accelerating the achievement and performance. The
cost of equipments only within these new labs
about 13 million L.E. the innovation works with
the building and furnishing are not counted.
The new labs are distributed as follows

• 8 for Cairo central labs.
• 3 for labs of Alex.
• 5 for labs of Port-Said.
• 1 for labs of Damietta.
• 2 introduced to Al-Adabyya Suez outlet.
