The flag of St Lucia
Meaning of the Flag1. The blue represents
fidelity, reflecting out tropical sky and emerald
surrounding waters - the Caribbean Sea and the
Atlantic Ocean. 2. The Gold represents the
prevailing sunshine in the Caribbean Prosperity.
3. The black and white stands for the cultural
influences. 4. The design impresses the
dominance of the Black culture is a is that of
Europe, against a background of sunshine and the
blue sea - this symbolises the three pitons.5.
The triangle, the shape of which is an isosceles
triangle, is reminiscent of the island's famous
twin Pitons at Soufriere, rising out of the sea,
towards the sky - themselves a symbol of hope and
the aspirations of the people.

Food Of St Lucia
This sauce is exported from Jamaica in vast
amounts, and can be bought in decent food
retailers the world over. An excellent fallback
once St Lucian supplies have run out, it is
distinctly red, almost ketchup-like in colour,
and has medium thick consistency. Once again, it
is made from true Scotch Bonnet peppers, and can
be used liberally at table and in cooking.
Because of its ubiquitous availability, every
kitchen should have a bottle lurking on its
shelves.

Castries
This island has been one of the Caribbeans
best-kept secrets. Visitors who have had
unforgettable vacations on green-clad St. Lucia
are pleased that the crowds are gathering
elsewhere. However, increased building of resorts
and villas will escalate tourism in the near
future.
