  BC local government through ICIS
• Designed to aid emergency response

• AddressBC is run by an Advisory Committee that
  reports to the ICIS Board

How it Works

• Web-based application to capture address
  information from addressing authorities
• Some authorities will submit address points
  through batch upload
• All data will be verified by addressing authority
• Decentralized model

Challenges

• Mindful of impact on local government
• Managing approximately 200 data sources
• 100 participation
• Automate QA process as much as possible

• Begin building application in February 2009 (ESRI
  Canada)
• Core database in major urban areas operation by
  Summer 2009
