3Introduction
City Control Centre (CCC)
- currently being implemented at the City of
Putrajaya - model for future city development
- incorporates Intelligent Transportation System
(ITS), Facilities Management System (FMS),
Emergency Management System (EMS) and Interactive
Information System (IIS) - first time ever that the above systems are
integrated for a city - use tested and proven systems with some
customisation - CCC is currently operational
4Intelligent Transportation System
- Area Traffic Control System (ATCS) to manage and
control traffic flow in urban and residential
areas by using an adaptive expert system, traffic
lights and controllers - Highway Management System (HMS) to manage and
control traffic flow in highways by using loop
detectors, ramp meters and controllers - Variable Message System (VMS) to manage and
control traffic by displaying informative
messages to traffic users through the VMS
displays - CCTV Surveillance System for city-wide
surveillance using CCTV cameras - Traffic Count Module to determine traffic volume
using pneumatic counters for transportation
analysis and design - Traffic Accident Reporting Module to record
accident reports for transportation analysis and
design
5Facilities Management System

8Common GUI
- Real-time health status of equipment on the
fields - Real-time traffic flow status on highway and
urban roads - Real-time accidents and emergency incidents
notification - Real-time road work and road closure
notification - Real-time weather information
- Real-time video stream from the CCTV cameras
- Integration with intelligent transportation
systems - (ATCS, HMS, VMS)
- Integration with emergency management system for
incidents information - Integration with facilities management system
for road works and road closure - Integration with GIS map
9Systems Integration
- The strength of CCC lies in the tight integration
between the individual systems. This is achieved
through our seamless integration method using the
System Monitoring Controller (SMC). In this
environment, a detected event in one system will
automatically trigger responses in other related
systems, based on the pre-determined rules. - integration at database level
- system monitors to look for data values and
determine actions - system advisory to inform user of erratic data
values and transaction errors - user-defined system rules
- user-defined interval period
- user-defined advisory method, either through
e-mail or SMS - integrates ATCS, HMS, VMS, CCTV, SPL, WMS/RMS,
FMS, EMS
