- In an effort to minimize the use of materials and
natural resources that adversely impact the
environment, ASTD and the Walter E. Washington
Convention Center have implemented the following
practices - Badge holder recycling bins are locations
throughout the convention center. Please deposit
your badge holder in a bin at the end of the
conference. - ASTD 2009 signage is printed on 84 recycled
paper. - ASTD is reducing handout materials to a two-page
job aid for most sessions. - SpeakersPowerPoint slides combined with their
job aid will be posted on the website. - Furthermore, attendees who provide their own cup
at any concessions outlet in the Convention
Center (excluding Starbucks) will receive 25
cents off of their purchased beverage
