- "Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings
and sacrifices, - As in obeying the voice of the LORD?
- Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice,
- And to heed than the fat of rams.

deceiving yourselves.
8Knowledge of God is a Characteristic of a Great
People
- Deuteronomy 46 "Therefore be careful to observe
them for this is your wisdom and your
understanding in the sight of the peoples who
will hear all these statutes, and say, 'Surely
this great nation is a wise and understanding
people.'
9 10So God Promises and He Never Lies

you will find knock, and it will be opened to
you. 8 "For everyone who asks receives, and he
who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be
opened. 9 "Or what man is there among you who, if
his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?
11So it has Always Been
- 1 Chronicles 289 "As for you, my son Solomon,
know the God of your father, and serve Him with a
loyal heart and with a willing mind for the LORD
searches all hearts and understands all the
intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will
be found by you but if you forsake Him, He will
cast you off forever.
12So it has Always Been
- Proverbs 817
- I love those who love me, And those who seek me
diligently will find me.
13How can we Know that We Know Him
- I John 23
- Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep
His commandments.
14Glorious Seeking vs. Destructive Self-Seeking
- Romans 27-10
- 7 eternal life to those who by patient
continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor,
and immortality 8 but to those who are
self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey
unrighteousness--indignation and wrath, 9
tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who
does evil, of the Jew first and also of the
Greek

works what is good, to the Jew first and also to

16 17Hosea 41-6 1 Hear the word of the LORD, you
children of Israel, for the LORD brings a charge
against the inhabitants of the land "There is no
truth or mercy or knowledge of God in the land. 2
By swearing and lying, killing and stealing and
committing adultery, they break all restraint,
with bloodshed upon bloodshed.
18Hosea 41-6 3 Therefore the land will mourn and
everyone who dwells there will waste away with
the beasts of the field and the birds of the air
even the fish of the sea will be taken away. 4
"Now let no man contend, or rebuke another for
your people are like those who contend with the
priest.
19Hosea 41-6 5 Therefore you shall stumble in the
day the prophet also shall stumble with you in
the night and I will destroy your mother. 6 My
people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will
reject you from being priest for Me because you
have forgotten the law of your God, I also will
forget your children.
20Acts 317 "Yet now, brethren, I know that you did
it in ignorance, as did also your rulers.
Ignorance Does Not Justify " 19 "Repent
therefore and be converted, that your sins may be
blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come
from the presence of the Lord,
21CONCLUSION
- There is no benefit in ignorance.
- Knowledge and obedience of God and His will are
the keys to a joyous life.
