Who are we?
  • AEC European association of more than 240
    professional music training institutions
  • Aims to promote European cooperation and to
    address European issues
  • Projects in SOCRATES, ERASMUS MUNDUS, EU/USA,
    eCONTENT, CULTURE 2000, LEONARDO programmes
  • Main office in Utrecht (NL)

  • Changes in the music profession
  • Importance of recognition of qualifications is
    increasing
  • Important to keep the initiative special
    characteristics must be taken into account

  • Polifonia Tuning and 3rd cycle working groups
    start 2005 to develop PDD
  • Aim Orientation for the further development of
    the music sector learning outcomes

    credit point systems, curriculum development and
    internal quality assurance in music study

    procedure for national procedures and review
    programme at European level
  • DPPs and Learning Outcomes being used in this
    process
