2 Introduction
- Hello Lines family, and welcome to Washington
D.C. Over the next 3 days you will be staying at
the D.C. deluxe Hotel which is rated 5 stars. We
will be visiting the monuments of Fords theater,
National Cathedral, National archives, The
Library of Congress and the Lincoln Memorial. We
hope you have a wonderful stay at the D.C. Deluxe
and have a great time at the monuments.
3D.C. Deluxe Hotel (five star)
- Lines family, You will be staying on the 24th
floor in the family suite 2442 overlooking the
Capitol building. The Coco key water park is on
the top floor of the hotel. The passes and
wristbands will be awaiting you in your suite.
4Now you will take your private limo to the Fords
theater after unpacking.
5Fords theater
- Fords Theater became a monument because our
former President Abe Lincoln was assassinated
there. - Here you can see the place where Abe was shot.
You will be able to tell where he sat because you
will see flowers and paintings and things up
above in the balcony seats. - Admission is free!
6Fords Theater
- You will see the very old fashioned seats that
are much different than ones now. - It is made of red and white brick.
- Thousands of people go there just to see where
Abe sat. - Abe got shot with a gun by John Wilkes Booth who
was standing on the roof of the theater.
7Slumber at D.C. Deluxe
- Now you will get ready for your next day of
adventures after all of your unpacking and
visiting the Fords Theater.
8Next after you are done with breakfast at the
D.C. Diner you will take your private limo to go
visit the National Cathedral.
9National Cathedral
- There you can see the Christian symbolism for
famous people and events. - It took 200 years to build it
- Admission is free
10National Cathedral
- It looks like a big castle.
- The National Cathedral has a 57acre plot of land.
- It is the 2nd largest Cathedral in the United
States and the 6th largest in the world.
11Now your private limo will take you to the
National Archives.
12The National Archives
- It was built in 1935
- There you can see the Constitution, the
Declaration of Independence, and the Bill of
Rights. - It is free to visit
13The National Archives
- There are 72 coronation columns that are 53 feet
high each. - The Constitution is probably the most famous
article in the USA. - The articles there you can barely read because
they are so faded.
14Slumber at D.C. Deluxe
- Now you will rest from your long day of visiting
the monuments and get ready for your fun
adventure at the monuments tomorrow and spend
your evening at Coco key water park.
15Next you will eat breakfast at D.C. Diner.
16Now your private limo will take you to the
Library of Congress.
17The Library of Congress
- There you can see over millions books
- It is free to visit
- It was established in 1800.
18The Library of Congress
- Something very interesting there is the very
large dome above the main reading room. - It has a very different design on the dome of
different shapes. - It grew into a national institute in the 19th
century.
19Now your private limo will take you to the
Lincoln Memorial.
20Lincoln Memorial
- Represents Abe Lincoln
- It is free to visit
- It is white with large pillars holding it up
- Located near the Vietnam War Memorial
21Lincoln Memorial
- The design was created by Henry Bacon
- It 20 feet tall
- People star it in 1914 and finished in 1922
- When you go you see the large statue of Abe
Lincoln
22Now your private limo will pick you up to take
you to the Coco Key water park where you can
slide on the slides all evening long.
23Slumber at D.C. Deluxe
- Now you will rest from your long day of monuments
and tomorrow you will take your flight to
Barrington IL. - Hope you have a nice trip home!
