What we do at service learning projects

• We get with our friends or an organization and go
  into town.
• Usually these projects include beautification of
  the city or helping communities or organizations.
• Its a time to help and just hangout and have fun
  with your friends.

My Service Learning Projects

• AAS Car Wash
• Raised money for Arnold Air Society
• AFROTC Blood Drive
• Gave blood to the Red Cross.
• Second Harvest Food Bank
• Raised money for Arnold Air Society

Arnold Air Car Wash

• The Valdosta State University AFROTC hosted a
  carwash that was for the Arnold Air Society on
  April 1st.
• The ones who made up the event were all of the
  AAS Candidates.

  washing.

  cars to wash.

AFROTC Blood Drive

• Annual AFROTC blood drive that occurs once every
  semester.
• All donations went to the Red Cross.
• Hosted by the AFTROTC.
• Anyone involved from the school could donate
  blood.

• I went to the detachment to donate, work, and
  clean up after the blood drive.
• The Red Cross received much more blood than we
  expected.

• While at Second Harvest the Arnold Air Society
  stacked food, cleaned crates and boxes, and
  washed an eighteen wheeler with a fire hose.
• During this service we had every single one of
  our members to help in the project.

• There were a few really gross things that we had
  to clean out while we waited such as coolers
  filled with old food.
• Compared to the other service projects the Second
  Harvest Food Bank was the most successful.

What I Learned From the Projects

• All in all I really enjoyed working with my
  friends on the service learning projects.
• I feel like I got a whole lot more accomplished
  on my projects this year and I hope the more of
  my years turn out as good.
