The International Festival 5th July 2008
Hi All Despite the damp start to the day, the
festival took place and was well attended. There
were colourful displays, cultural items and many
varieties of food. The stalls included face and
hand painting, jewellery, books, plants, bric a
brac, refreshments and a barbecue. Plus
photographic studio, bollywood dancing a bouncy
castle for the kids as well as African and
Brazilian drumming where we were treated to an
unscheduled display of dancing by one of the
teachers who will remain nameless. There were
information stalls from Open University,
Recycling and a visit from the Fire brigade. A
good time was had by all and the PSA would like
to thank all the parents, members of staff,
students and others for all their hard work and
for giving up their time for making it a
memorable day for all of us. A special mention
for Tim and Marion who worked continuously
throughout the day from setting up, helping out
and clearing up at the end of the day. So a big
THANK YOU to you all. Details of the monies made
from the event will be available as soon as
practical. We will look forward to holding many
more events and are open to suggestions. Michael
