Community strategy and the local area agreement
  • Team Hackney Local strategic partnership (LSP)
    dedicated to improving the quality of life for
    everyone in the borough.  It is about developing
    new ways of working and about speeding up
    improvements in service delivery and outcomes.  
  • The Partnership produced a Community Strategy
    which set out its vision for the next few years
    and formed the basis of the Local Area Agreement
    (LAA) (2007-2010) between central and local
    government

    better engage in the work of the Team Hackney
    partnership
  • Empowering local people to have a greater choice
    and influence over local decision making and a
    greater role in public service delivery
  • Developing mechanisms for local people to have a
    voice at a local and neighbourhood level that
    feeds into Team Hackneys decision making
    process, supports the increased capacity of local
    people and local organisations to contribute to
    the delivery of the five LAA priority outcomes
  • To empower local people to become agents of
    change in their local areas and communities.

  • The Voluntary Sector Services Team works in
    partnership with voluntary and community
    organisations to deliver quality services that
    meet the needs of the community. The Team offers
    a direct interface between the council and the
    local voluntary and community sector which
    ensures that the voice and concerns of local
    voluntary sector organisations are effectively
    heard throughout the council.
