2Potomac Sustainable Communities Initiative
- Initiative to develop and globally distribute
advanced energy technologies currently available
through unclassified research projects. - Streamline private and government efforts to
reduce dependency on foreign hydrocarbon
resources, while also reducing the negative
impact of global energy consumption on the
environment. - Decentralize our nations vulnerable energy
infrastructure. - Immediately shift research emphasis to advanced
alternative energy technologies. - Distribute portable energy systems to tent
cities throughout the United States.
3Potomac Sustainable Communities Initiative
- Help the United States achieve economic
prosperity, social justice, and ecological health
- the highest possible quality of life in the
best possible environment. - Potomac SCI programs and policies will respond
effectively to the real limits of ecological
systems while fostering the unprecedented
opportunities of a democratic society in which
all people are able to develop to their fullest
potential. - To these ends, the Potomac SCI will become a
valuable resource for our nation by advocating,
creating tools, and providing expertise
concerning sustainability - from global to the
local arenas.

161. Rauen Environmental Heat Engine
Heat is transferred from a low temperature via
particle collisions to a higher temperature
without energy input, relying just upon elastic
collisions according to the kinetic theory of
heat, with work as the transfer medium, when a
gas is displaced through a regenerator under
constant volume conditions this is known as the
Proell effect.

227. Thorium Power Pack
- Low cost experimental demonstrators set at 1 KW
continuous output (Approximately 90 watts input
equals about 5,000 watts output for the
equation.) - Thorium's half life is on the order of many
billions of years so the fuel source choice is a
very good one. - Cost of license is estimated at between 1/10th to
1/5th of the existing energy costs (both for
electrical and fuel consumption).
238. Electrostatic Generator by Walter Owens
Patent-pending prototype generator fueled by
static electricity. The invention provides enough
power to run an outboard motor and corded work
light.
249. Electrodynamic Field Generator
The EDF Generator uses banks of permanent magnets
and rotating field coils to produce a very-high
DC rotor voltage and plane-parallel ring
electrode arrays to electrostatically expand and
control that voltage as applied to the outer
hull, so that huge quantities of external Field
envelope electrons will be self-accelerated
around it to energy levels usually reached only
with a particle accelerator.
Advanced propulsion technology by Mark Tomion.
He is working to complete a 24 kW generator as
proof of concept available for demonstration in
2009.

Benefits of Sines Reluctance Generator
27Initial Prototype Components
- Ferromagnetic transformer core (pressed powder)
- Copper (or superconductor) wire windings
- Cylindrical magnet with center hole for fiber
optics - 500 Type II superconductor coated quartz tubes
- 0.0125 outside diameter
- 1.0 length for initial prototype
- Small 930 nm laser unit (lt1 watt output, gt30
electron-photon conversion quantum efficiency) - Thin diffusing lens between cylindrical magnet
and quartz tubes bundle to evenly distribute
photons - 250 in materials to produce initial prototype
unit cost is reduced to lt100/unit once mass
produced

YBCO-coated quartz tube (0.0125 diameter, 1

Magnetic flux forced through tube at LN2 temps
Laser
Path A is default path in the non-superconductive
state. Path B results from cooling the tubes
using liquid nitrogen. Magnetic flux falls back
to path A when the laser is pulsed. Quantum
efficiency of a 930nm pulse is in the hundreds.
29Energy conversion process
- Step 1 a watch battery initiates a 930 nm
photon stream through the small laser unit into
fiber optics through magnet - Step 2 diffusing lens evenly distributes
photons into YBCO-coated quartz tubes - Step 3 each photon disrupts hundreds of Cooper
pairs in YBCO thin film coating - Step 4 magnetic flux flowing through quartz
tubes is shunted, forced to find alternate route
to return - Step 5 change in path of magnetic flux produces
electrical current in copper (or superconductor)
windings - Step 6 feedback loop provides electricity for
laser unit and liquid nitrogen production/regenera
tion cycle - Step 7 excess electricity (90) powers outside
loads

34SRG Space Generator
Space Radiator Ambient temperature lt10K
Electrical energy is used to compress nitrogen
gas into a liquid. LN2 provides the conditions
to operate the device. The space radiator can
only return a fraction of the energy used during
the compression of the LN2. A fixed quantity of
LN2 is placed in the black box.

Liquid N2
Light
Black Box
Gas
Gas
Battery
Control circuit
Spaceship interior temperature 20 C
Nitrogen gas is directed to an external radiator
in space to be converted back into LN2 and then
pumped back into the system. The device still
provides sufficient output power to drive the
light as well as fully charge the battery as
before and run the pump. LN2 is restricted to a
closed loop. This system utilizes cold space for
LN2 conversion. Cold space converts the gas to
liquid at no energy cost to the system. The
system definitively operates at a gain.
The SRG system is driven by the controller, which
gets its power from the battery. The device has
small conversion losses in the form of heat. This
heat evaporates the LN2 which is then out gassed
to the atmosphere or stored. The device provides
sufficient output power to drive the load as well
as fully charge the battery. When the LN2 is gone
the system stops.
35Flat-Spiral Transformer Design UsingA Novel
Electrical Power Cooling Technique
- A patented transformer cooling technique,
referred to as the novel cooling technique
(NCT), incorporating flat-spiral windings,
which permit a reduction in transformer size and
weight without sacrificing electrical or magnetic
performance.

3712. Wang Shum Ho Electricity Generator and other
devices under review in China
The Wang Shum Ho Prototype Electricity Generator
was demonstrated to Chinese officials on Jan 15,
2007.
- Lawrence Tseung, a colleague of the inventor,
said the initial plan was to initially build four
5 kW working units, to be located in Beijing,
another in Hong Kong and the third one at the
United Nations in New York. The fourth unit would
serve as a portable demonstration device. - To date, no units have been made available
outside China for public demonstration.

44Evolution of Ideas
All truth passes through three stages First,
it is ridiculed Second, it is violently
opposed and Third, it is accepted as
