  • MISSION AND BYLAWSOF THEMIAMI VALLEY TECH PREP
    CONSORTIUMMISSION STATEMENTThe Miami Valley
    Tech Prep Consortium, a partnership among
    business, industry, labor, secondary and higher
    education, seeks to strengthen Ohios workforce
    competitiveness by facilitating educational
    change that prepares students for
    technology-based careers. Governing BoardThe
    MVTPC Governing Board shall consist of the
    superintendents of the MVTPC CTPDs, the
    President of Sinclair Community College, a
    minimum of three representatives from business,
    industry and labor, and, as ex-officio, the MVTPC
    director. The Board shall be chaired by the
    Sinclair Community College President or designee
    and shall meet at least semi-annually to advise
    and approve as needed on (1) funding and
    institutionalization of Tech Prep, (2)
    collaborative efforts in the delivery systems,
    (3) local commitment to programs and (4) to act
    on the recommendations of the MVTPC director
    regarding the development, implementation and
    evaluation of the MVTPC strategic plan.
