Questions???
6Delivery Terminology
- Major Release The first digit of the CM
nomenclature identifies the major release such as
2.1.1. Major Releases contain significant new
functionality and major new simulation versions.
Major Releases undergo rigorous testing and
normally require TD to provide New Equipment
Training (NET) to the Operations Staff. Major
Releases are generally planned for delivery in
early summer. - Interim Release The second digit of the CM
nomenclature identifies the interim release such
as 2.1.1. Interim releases contain limited new
functionality such as Federation Change Requests
or Simulation Versions not ready by the Major
Release. Interim Releases require limited new
equipment training and will be scheduled for
delivery in the winter, or upon request from
Operations to meet special requirements. - Maintenance Release The third digit of the CM
nomenclature identifies the maintenance release
such as 2.1.1. Maintenance Releases are provided
as needed to fix defects identified in Event
Testing. Maintenance Releases contain only fixes
to defects and no enhancements
