1861 to 1876 Responsible for holding Bahaullah
and His family prisoners. He lost his position
as Sultan, his possessions were confiscated and
was killed.
11Ali-Pasha Grand Vizer and foreign minister of
the Ottoman empire intil his death in
1871 Received a letter of warning from Bahaullah

13Nabil - dedicated believer and historian of the
faith. He was a great teacher of Bahaullahs
cause and inspired the believers throughout
Persia, Iraq, Egypt and the Holy Land
14Kay Khusraw The first to become a BahaI from
the Zoroastrian community. He felt sad when he
saw Moslems torturing Bahais in the streets. He
then Investigated the teachings of Bahaullah
15Hakim Masih First Bahai converted from the
Jewish community of Persia. He was a well-known
doctor who treated tortured Bahais in prisons.
Since no Moslem doctor would treat Bahais Hakim
offered his services and gradually became
influenced by the teachings.
16 Mirza Abul-Fadl Ustad
Husayn-Nal-Band Mirza Abul-Fadl was a very
famous Moslem scholar in Persia. Ustad Husayn
was a simple uneducated blacksmith. Mirza
Abul-Fadl became frustrated by Ustad Husayn
because he could answer complex religious
questions with profound wisdom. This led Mirza
Abul-Fadl to investigate the Bahai faith. Mirza
Abul-Fadl eventually became a great teacher of
the faith, wrote books and came to America.
17Abdul-Baha, first son of Bahaullah and Center
of the Covenant. He suffered with Bahaullah in
all of His hardships for more than 40 years. He
met with ambassadors, protected the believers and
spread the message of Bahaullah to all. He was
respected by all including his enemies. (out of

18Baha-yih Khanum, sister of Abdul-Baha surnamed
the Greatest Leaf By Bahaullah. (out of
respect for her position, she is not portrayed in
this work)
19Kalim, faithful brother of Bahaullah Assisted
Bahaullah in dealing with foreign ministers
and local authorities, besides being a dedicated
companion. He was at Bahaullahs side from
childhood until his death and never wavered even
though the sufferings were unbearable.
20Aqa Buzurg, surnamed by Bahaullah as Badi -
(The Wonderful) When he was only 18-years old,
he delivered the letter of Bahaullah to the
Shah of Iran. He was subsequently tortured and
killed by the Shahs men.
