• Minnesota required separate sheets in plans
• Minnesota requires a certified individual to be
  on site
• Minnesota also requires a permanent storm water
  pond with a stabilized outlet

CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE

• Developed to minimize traffic disturbance
• Roadways must have paved surface during winter
  months
• CR 18 will be allowed to be gravel for one winter
  season
• Project is to be completed in three phases

PHASE ONE 2009

• Relocate CR 18 in Minnesota
• Install wick drains and build abutment
  embankment on both ends of bridge
• Construct surcharge on ND abutment embankment
• Install sheet pile and jersey barriers where
  needed
• Start constructing Bridge

PHASE TWO - 2010

• Remove Surcharge ND side
• Remove and salvage surfacing
• Finish Bridge
• Suggest that most of the new surfacing be
  complete prior to bridge completion
• Finish Surfacing and route traffic over new bridge

PHASE THREE 2010 -2011

• Restore old roadbed to original contours
• Remove old bridge
• Finish all remaining work (seeding, etc.)
