• Instructional messages include, lectures,
  physics demonstration, geological formation seen
  on a field trip, computer simulation of a trip

  by an orchestra.

• Application Use procedures to perform exercises
  or solve problems.
• An exercise is a task from which the student
  already knows the proper procedures to use. When
  given exercises students typically perform the
  procedure with little thought. When the task in
  an unfamiliar problem, students must determine
  what procedure to use

• Executing is associated with use of skills
  and algorithms rather than techniques and
  methods. Skills and algorithms consist of
  sequence of steps that are generally followed in
  a fixed order, and when steps performed
  correctly, end result is a predetermined answer

  and determining how the parts are related to one
  another and to overall structure.
• Objectives classified as Analyze include
  learning to determine the relevant or important
  pieces of a message, the way in which pieces of a
  message are organized, and the underlying purpose
