- Over 40 manual trades / occupations alone are
needed for construction - 12,000 manuals needed at construction peak in
2013 2015 - Includes banksmen, crane drivers and joiners
(over 170 each) - Concrete finishers (over 450)
- Electricians (over 1,600) and their assistants
(over 1,600) - Labourers (over 1,800)
- Mechanical fitters (over 700) and their
assistants (over 500) - Over 2,700 required for underground work
(includes some trades mentioned above) - 2,000 non manuals needed at their peak end of
2011 to middle of 2013 - Includes CLRL staff, programme managers, design
engineers. - Earlier peak than manuals designing project and
overseeing implementation.
