10Observations UCDs performance is about a 3.5
- Undergraduate advising at UC Davis is as good as
or better than advising at our sister campuses.
No UC campus advises better. - There may have been a degradation in advising
services as rated by currently enrolled students
over the past decade, but it has been slight. - Over this same period, recent alumni have rated
academic advising increasingly higher. - There is little variation in mean rating of
service by academic division or advising
provider. In general, Deans Offices are rated
lower than other providers and Engineering is
rated lower than other divisions. - There is very little variation in rating by
race/ethnicity, student level, sex or admission
category (freshmen or transfer). - It remains true that 10 to 15 of all
undergraduates are dissatisfied with academic
advising.
