  • Common Errors

Citations and References
  • If cited it must be referenced.
  • If referenced it must be cited.
  • Use author last name and year.
  • Quotes of 40 or more words are blocked with the
    page number.
  • Less than 40 words, include in the body with
    quotation marks and page number.

  • Citations1 work by 1 author, last name of author
    and year in parenthesis (Wilson, 2007)
  • Up to 5 authors, list all authors.
  • On line periodicals are listed just as if you
    were reading the real paper, article, retrieval
    site and date.

Headings
  • Level, placement, and print. Refer to Page
    113, Section 3.31 of the APA Manual.
  • Centered, left aligned and indented.
  • Sample proposal is correct.
  • Never underline.

  • Double space entire proposal.
  • No extra space increase between paragraphs.
  • At least one inch margins all around.

  • Dont have only two lines on a page.
