LIT 2008 Objectives

• Specific LIT Objectives for 2008
• Conclude on the target NPD
• Develop Guidance to Implementers (Airlines and
  ANSPs) based on lessons learned from Pioneer
  Phase
• Advance on VDL2 Focus Group related subjects
  including Multi-frequency standardisation
• Enhance the LSAT (Link Statistics Reporting Tool)
  with additional capabilities including airline
  specific reports
• Provide concrete technical support to ANSPs and
  Airlines
• Perform Initial Interop Testing with avionics
  implementation supporting PM-CPDLC

• Airworthiness Approval
• Completed for all but Lufthansa Cityline

• Full Link2000 deployment (together with AOC
  traffic migration to VDL2) requires more than 2-3
  channels
• AEEC A631-5 update almost completed
• Autotune solution plus dedicated frequency at
  airports
• Plus other L2K proposed amendments (White
  Papers)
• Ongoing refinement of details
• Group review and agreement expected by April 08
