• The metadata is used to imbed the AMS journals in

Mathematical Reviews (MR)

• (1990) Bibliographic data keyboarded in TeX for
  all reviews in MR from 1940 to 1979. These were
  made available on MathSci Disc and online via
  Dialog.

• (19971998) All reviews in MR keyboarded in TeX
  from 19401984. As the keyboarded reviews became
  available they were put on MathSciNet.

AMS Books

• (2000) Began to digitize monographs from the AMS
  backlist, both old and relatively new titles
• Depending on the state of the files, scanned at
  600 dpi with a PDF wrapper or created a PDF file
  (chapter at a time) from a TeX file.

• Posted 12 books in 2001
• Expect to post at least 12 in 2002
• Freely accessible on the AMS website
