Intellivalve Training Information
  • Proper IntelliCarb installation critical KEY to
success! Please make sure the following items
are addressed in training and followed in each
    installation
  • Water supply capacity, filtration and long water
line routing most common cause for water
    starvation to PROCON carbonator pump.
  • Pumps starved for water cause air to be
    compressed into the carbonator tank.
Over-pressurizing the tank with air displaces CO2
and results in a reduction or loss of carbonation
and higher than normal water pressures applied to
    valves.
  • Normal static water pressures may not be enough
    to support carbonator.
  • Each IntelliCarb pump requires water capacity of
2.1 GPM at pressures gt 20 PSI. This is much
higher than most other water-consuming equipment
    found in stores.
  • Unlike ambient systems with a single carbonator
    feeding multiple dispensers, each IntelliCarb
dispenser has its own carbonator pump. Multiple
IntelliCarb dispensers with pumps running at the
same time can greatly exceed water supply
    capacity.
  • Water boosters w/ multiple pressure regulators
    needed for adequate supply.
  • Boosters must be installed before water filters
for water quality, health and safety.
  • Use of adjustable Watts water regulators starve
damage PROCON pumps. Strongly recommend approved
SHURflo inline regulator, at least one per
    dispenser (see diagram)
  • Boosters can provide dedicated water reserve for
IntelliCarb dispensers and buffer water supplies
that change when other equipment operates
    (dishwashers, etc)

Intellivalve Training Information
  • Limit number of valves operating from one syrup
    pump.
  • In theory, syrup pump manufacturers claim under
the right conditions their syrup pumps can
deliver flow rates to support more than two
    valves.
  • In practice, the conditions needed to deliver
operation are not realistic and cause valves
sharing the same pump to be starved when more
    than two operate.
  • If two valves share the same pump, always run
separate lines from the pump to each valve for
best performance. If multiple valves are
connected in a daisy-chain then the last valves
in the chain will deliver the poorest
    performance.
  • No mater what the installation conditions, the
    IntelliValve will provide superior ratio
performance and compensate for wider operating
syrup pressure ranges than any standard
    mechanical valve.
  • See Installation Diagram Example on following
    page

Intellivalve Training Information
  • Items with may not be present in all equipment
packages. If second water regulator not present,
connect water regulator 1 to dispenser plain
    water (dotted lines).
  • Filter systems are rated to handle up to 5 GPM
total. In high VPO accounts with more than two
dispensers it will be necessary to order
    additional filter systems.
  • Any water booster output can be split to feed
multiple filter systems. If more than two
dispensers, single 6-gallon size may be used in
    place of multiple 2-gallon boosters.
