• Fiction-Writing that tells about imaginary (
  unreal) people and events

• has make-believe characters

• has a beginning, middle, and end

• sometimes uses dialogue

• may have chapters

• Non-Fiction-Writing that tells about real
  people and events

• includes real-life people

• usually contains dates and times

• has text features like headings, graphs,
  photographs, captions, maps, etc.

Bed Head     I cant do a thing with my hairdo.
Ive tried, but its simply no use.I cant make
it stay where I put it todaywith styling gel,
hair spray, or mousse. No bobby pin, brush, or
bandannacan get my hair under control.Ive
tried every comb, every clip in my homeand
covered my head with a bowl. Ive tried using
forks in frustration.Ive tried using pokers and
picks.Ive tried using straps Ive tried
headbands and caps.Ive even tried shoestrings
and sticks. Regardless of how I attack it,I
simply cannot make it stay.I guess I cant win,
so Ill have to give inand look like my students
today.
