2The Wounded Warrior Regiment will provide and
facilitate assistance to wounded/ill/injured
Marines, Sailors attached to or in support of
Marine units, and their family members,
throughout the phases of recovery.

5WII Tracking Policy
- If a Marine is expected to be hospitalized 90
days or less, and is within normal commuting
distance of permanent duty station, will remain
with parent unit. - If a Marine is expected to be hospitalized 90
days or less, and is outside the vicinity of his
permanent duty station, the parent command will
report the Marine TAD to the nearest Inspector
Instructor Staff or Wounded Warrior Battalion
Headquarters for administrative tracking. - If a Marine is expected to be hospitalized 90
days or more, and is outside the vicinity of his
parent command, then the Marine will be
transferred by Service Record Book to the nearest
Inspector Instructor Staff or Wounded Warrior
Battalion Headquarters. - In all cases, the parent command will initiate
SRB transfer or TAD assignment. - Any commander has the option to retain WII
Marines on their roles provided they can
adequately support their Marine if
hospitalization is expected to be over 90 days. - 90 days is also meant as a guideline only.

6Identifying WII Marines
- Wounded Warrior Regiment will engage with any
Marine who is identified - via a Personnel Casualty Report (PCR),
- by the MTF system or medical provider,
- through coordination with parent commands, or
- via intake or outreach efforts of Wounded Warrior
Call Center.
