The Haiti Project

  • To prepare and implement didactic clinical
    training in basics of radiography and sonography
    positioning, as well as radiation protection
  • 7 day deployment to Milot and Port Au Prince,
    Haiti

Application Process
  • Contact either ASRT or RAD-AID for a link to
    access the program application
  • Once submitted, it is reviewed applicant will
    be notified on whether application has been
    accepted or requires further details
  • Once accepted, an application is eligible for
    consideration for one calendar year
  • Applicants are encouraged to update their
    application with any experience gained since the
    initial submission

The Selection Process
  • All applicants with accepted applications will be
    eligible for consideration
  • Those with the right combination of professional,
    educational, and international experience that
    fit the needs of the project assignment will be
    selected.
  • Notification will be via email a minimum of 2
    months prior to the trip departure date.

Future Plans
  • To work with RAD-AID to expand current outreach
    opportunities within India Haiti, as well as
    develop opportunities within other resource-poor
    communities around the world.
  • To incorporate international radiology outreach
    initiatives into the various other programs and
    publications of the ASRT.
