6Understanding Dual Credit
- Each semester counts as 1.5
- college hours.
- Fall semester 1.5 hours
- Spring semester 1.5 hours
- Total of 3 hours by the end of May 2012
- Hours transfer to most colleges in Texas (you
must verify with your college) - You will need to request a transcript from Lone
Star College at the end of the school year. - You are REQUIRED to take a final exam each
semester! - You will do most of the same assignments as AP.
7Understanding AP
- You will do most of the same assignments as DC.
- You will take a final exam each semester unless
you are exempt. - The only way you can get college credit for this
class is to take the AP Exam in May and receive
an acceptable score. - Most colleges in the United States will count the
AP exam as credit, but you should check with the
school you are interested in .
