• Class Expectations/Responsibilities

Understanding Dual Credit

• Each semester counts as 1.5
• college hours.
• Fall semester 1.5 hours
• Spring semester 1.5 hours
• Total of 3 hours by the end of May 2012
• Hours transfer to most colleges in Texas (you
  must verify with your college)
• You will need to request a transcript from Lone
  Star College at the end of the school year.
• You are REQUIRED to take a final exam each
  semester!
• You will do most of the same assignments as AP.

Understanding AP

• You will do most of the same assignments as DC.
• You will take a final exam each semester unless
  you are exempt.
• The only way you can get college credit for this
  class is to take the AP Exam in May and receive
  an acceptable score.
• Most colleges in the United States will count the
  AP exam as credit, but you should check with the
  school you are interested in .
