Cornea The outer surface of your eye where light enters. It is made of a transparent layer of tissue
Pupil The dark circle in your eye that lets light pass into the eye
Iris Muscular band surrounding the pupil
Retina The inner lining of the back of the eye that acts as a projection screen for light rays

Photoreceptors Cells in the retina that are sensitive to light includes rod cells and cone cells
Rod cells Detect shapes and movement in low light only in shades of grey
Cone Cells Detect colour
