  • Airport of departure the station where air

  • Cargo tracer message a message reporting a
    discrepancy such as missing/found cargo and/or
    missing/found documents or damaged or pilfered
    cargo.

  • Found cargo cargo which has been received
    un-manifested and without documents found during
    warehouse checks or cargo which can not be
    identified. Found cargo may, after investigation,
    prove to be short shipped, offloaded or over
    carried.
  • Mislabeled cargo cargo which has identification
    marks bearing reference to a consignment to which
    it does not belong.

    deliberately off loaded from a flight with out
    amending the manifest or advising through other
    appropriate means (such as SITA, e-mails, etc) to
    reflect the alteration to the load

    find discrepancies between stored cargo and CMRs
    on hand

Cargo manifest
  • The cargo manifest according to ICAO Annex 9,
    Appendix 3, is a mandatory requirement and has to
    be produced by every station of departure. In
    case of more than one transit station being
    involved a separate manifest is generally
    prepared by the departure station. Wherever
    permissible a comprehensive manifest may be
    prepared in the sequence of the point of
    unloading.

    station, a NIL manifest must be prepared.

Cargo Movement Request (CMR)
  • This document is an official request for
    movement of cargo by UN mode of transportation
    with in UNSOA mission area and as tasked by DMS.
    The request has to be submitted to MOVCON. A
    minimum of 3 copies are required, original for
    MOVCON file, 2 for shipper/requisitioner and 3
    for consignee

Daily Flight Schedule (DFS)
  • This is a summary of all scheduled flights for a
    particular day. It contains routings, timings,
    passenger and cargo loads, aircraft types and
    vital information in the remarks column.

NOTOC Notification to Captain.
  • Also known as NOPIC, NOTAC.
  • The operator of an aircraft in which special
    loads are to be carried must provide the pilot in
    command as soon as practicable prior to departure
    of the aircraft, with accurate and legible
    written or printed information concerning special
    loads to be carried as cargo. This information is
    presented on a Special Load Notification to
    Captain (NOTOC)

Shippers declaration form
  • The shipper is responsible for providing
    information applicable to a consignment of
    Dangerous goods to the operator. This information
    is prescribed on a Shippers declaration form.
    For each consignment containing dangerous goods
    the shipper must

    manner
  • b) ensure that the information is accurate, easy
    to identify, legible and durable
  • c) ensure that the form is properly signed when
    the shipment is presented to the operator for
    shipment and

Packing list
  • This is a document prepared by the
    shipper/sender that lists the kinds and
    quantities of merchandise in a particular
    shipment. A copy is generally sent to the
    consignee to aid in checking the shipment when
    received. Customs can also easily identify a
    specific pack for inspection purposes and is
    required by customs authorities.

Cargo irregularity report
  • The proper handling of irregularities is very
    important throughout the entire network.
    Irregularities must be captured on time to allow
    swift tracer actions from stations in a timely
    manner. Automated / manual systems can be
    applied. Damage to cargo is the most frequent
    type of irregularity that confronts an airlines
    cargo department. Unfortunately cargo damage is
    often caused by small mistakes and can occur at
    any station.

  • Whenever possible, photographs of the damaged
    parcels/cargo must be included with the cargo
    irregularity report. In case of very severe
    damage the shipment should be prevented from
    further movement. The cargo irregularity report
