The DataLogger

• Record and document key parameters of the fusion
  process
• Creates a joint report that can be saved, viewed,
  analyzed, printed, and transferred to a desktop
  computer for archiving

Basic Setup- Pocket PC

• Charge the pocket PC
• Allow to fully charge (approx 4 hrs)
• Once charged, battery lasts approx. 15 hrs
• Power On
• Press the power button to turn on the unit
• Set the Time and Date
• Turn BlueTooth on

Basic Setup- DataLogger

• Install batteries in the unit
• Remove the battery cover from the topic of the
  unit. Insert D cell batteries and replace the
  battery cover.
• Press the Multifunction switch to turn on the
  DataLogger

LED Status Indicators

• Once the batteries are installed and the
  multifunction switch is pressed, 2 LED lights
  will illuminate
• Blue
• Flashing indicates the Bluetooth is ready to
  communicate with the pocket PC
• Steady indicates the Bluetooth has established
  communication with the pocket PC
• Tri-Color
• Amber stays on less than 2 seconds, indicating
  power-up initialization state
• Flashing green indicates normal operation mode
• Flashing red indicates data logging mode

Pressure Transducer

• Connected to the DataLogger via a cable
• Taps into the hydraulic system of the fusion
  machine using the supplied connection fittings
  and quick disconnect
• Do not store unit with quick disconnect fitting
  attached
• Not interchangeable between units

• Factory setup- immediately ready to log data
• Provides a user interface and joint reporting
  storage capability
• Download joint reports daily

Calibration and Repair

• DataLogger should be calibrated at McElroy
  Manufacturing or an authorized distributor once a
  year
• All other repairs must be done at factory
• Go through your distributor to return a
  DataLogger to McElroy for calibration or repair

Recording

• Start DataLogging before pipe ends meet heater (5
  seconds on stopwatch)
• Stop recording after cooling cycle but before any
  valves are actuated.
