Company History

• EK-Team was established in 1996 as a
• Management-Buy-Out (MBO) from rotring
• due to stopping the NCScriber production
• Two employees founded EK-Team in the
• rotring facilities in Hamburg
• Business objectives
• Continue sales and support activities
• Develop new products for technical lettering and
  drawing
• Offer engineering support for custom applications
• Knowledge base of electronics and plastics
• (EK means Elektronik und Kunststoff Technology)

Product development

• From technical drawings to labeling tags for the
  industry
• EK-Team started 1998 with modified scriber for
  dedicated customer solutions
• Writing directly on marker with etching ink

Development of new A3 sized plotter VP 500 and
software VarioSign

• Start of own development in 2002, first
  deliveries in 2003
• EK-Team decided to design their own user-friendly
  software VarioSign to support all the features of
  the plotter system
• what you see is what you get

Strong relationship with rotring

• Use of existing technology

• Use parts for pen production as well as ink and

Injection molding from rotring into EK-TEAM

• In 2003 EK-Team took over the complete injection
  molding department from rotring, with 12
  machines able to run 24 hours unattended
  including tool maintenance and repair service.
