learning about the water cycle, expect a quiz
early this week. We will move on to clouds and
weather this week! Conservation projects are
due November 8th!
Bowen Things will be a little spooky in
science this week! Watch for experiments dealing
with force and of course a little slime! Our
young writers have not only written spooky
stories, they are also getting a jump on letters
to Santa!  Be watching for those letters to be
published in a special addition of The
Barren County Progress.
Rice
Writer's Workshops We will be finishing our
Mystery Narrative this week and then moving on to
Language Mechanics. We will also be doing a timed

the students are currently performing.  6th Grade
Writer's Mr. Bad Habits in Writing has been taken
to the hospital via 9-1-1 First Responders due to
malnutrition. We are constantly reminding
ourselves not to feed "him".  We will continue to
monitor the progress of Mr. Bad Habits.  Daily
Five Our theme for the next two weeks will be
Point of View (POV). We will be discussing the
different points of view and why it is so
important to the storyline of the story.  Reading
Street Some of the 6th grade students are having
a difficult time with the independence that is
required through the Daily Five Management
System. This week, we will be looking at the
independence level of each 6th grade student and
making a decision about which reading program is
best suited based on individual needs. .
