The software used is Microsoft Netmeeting 3.
Anyone can download this product from the
Microsoft pages www.microsoft.com/downloads and
install it. There are several video conferencing
products, this one seems good enough and is for
free.

In order to improve the conference quality, the
product version must be the same in both
computers. The version number and the IP address
may be found in the About window, choosing
Help from the menu.

STEPS TO BE TAKEN

• You place a call inserting the IP address in the
  appropriate field and press the button Place
  Call
• You end the call by pressing the button End
  Call
• You start previewing your video by pressing the
  button Start Video
• You can also adjust your sound pressing Adjust
  Audio Volume

On whatever you have focussed the camera will
appear in your video window. You can turn to the
participants window by pressing View

As soon as you press the Place a Call button, a
calling window will appear. A similar window will
appear in the participants computer, asking to
accept the incoming call.

As soon as the participant answers the call, the
video separates and you can see the other one in
front of you. In the list below the video, you
can also see the names of the two participants.

You can open a chat windows, pressing the Chat
button. You can send the message to the
participant pressing the Send Message button.

Adjustments
In order to change any of your settings, you have
to go to the Options menu. In the General
tab, there are information fields about the
caller. You can change the way you connect to the
internet, pressing the Network Bandwidth button.

Choose the appropriate option. You can slow down
the connection, if you have bad quality during
the conference.

In the Audio tab, ensure that you have enabled
the full-duplex option. If you choose the
Tuning Wizard button, you will be able to
re-adjust your audio settings through
Netmeetings wizard.

In the Video tab you can change the video
quality that you wish to receive from the
participant. Faster video is recommended for
slow connections. You can also adjust the video
quality that you wish to send, pressing the
Source button in the video camera properties.

Sometimes it is better to adjust manually
Brightness and Contrast. Faster Video Quality
is also recommended for slow connections. When
the conference quality is good enough, you can
raise the Video Quality to Better
