Solids

• A solid is a three dimensional figure that
  encloses a part of space.
• Solids are classified by their bases and number
  of vertices.

• A prism is a solids with two parallel bases that
  are congruent polygons

When we think of pyramids we think of the Great
Pyramids of Egypt. They are actually Square
Pyramids, because their base is a Square.

• A pyramid is a solid made of polygons. The base
  can be any polygons and the other faces are all
  triangles that share a common vertex (also called
  the apex).
