INTRODUCTION
  • Water is the fountain head of life.
  • For the development of human societies, water
    should be available in the acceptable quantity
    and quality.

NEED
  • In city everybody uses packaged drinking water.
  • To compare packaged drinking water requirement of
    Urban and Rural people.

METHODOLOGY
  • Survey in Varthur village - 22kms away from the
    city.
  • Analysis of water samples from bore well and
    public taps.

Data collected
  • Out of 72 houses, 43 houses use packaged water.
  • 10 houses are using aqua guard.

Hypotheses
  • People in Varthur prefer packaged drinking water
    because tap water is hard and contaminated.
