Content
  • Introduction
  • Campaign objectives
  • System description
  • Measurement locations
  • Measurement results
  • Concluding remarks

3
Introduction
  • The importance of performing power quality
measurements has gained increased interest in
    Norway
  • SINTEF Energy Research are currently performing a
power quality measurement campaign in Norway (a
    previous campaign 1993 2003)
  • The first meters were deployed in 2007
  • A total of 25 instruments are measuring
    continuously
  • The measurement campaign is funded by the
    Norwegian Research Council, Norwegian utilities,
    power producers and industry companies

4
Campaign objectives
  • Establish database
  • Map PQ in different networks
  • Analyse how disturbances spread
  • Analyse the influence of DG
  • Develop a VQ disturbance recognition prototype
  • New models and methods for load modelling

5
System description
  • Wave shape stored for voltage and current
  • Sample rate 25,6 51,2 kHz
  • Instruments synchronized through GPS or NTP
  • Data download by FTP through 3G or broadband
  • SQL database
  • Data compression
  • Parameter computing (from sine wave raw data)
  • Data viewing and analysis
  • Vendor software
  • Matlab analysis by raw data export to Matlab
