is Angela Jones and I am a fine artist. My
company produces fine art paintings, prints and
cards. An additional line to my business is the
teaching of art workshops.. The SPEED Plus
project After graduating I found it difficult to
find work that allowed me to use my skills and
passion for art.. I realised that by starting my
own business I could create my own role and
opportunities but was aware that I needed support
and guidance. The SPEED Plus project promised
to deliver this. True to it's promise the project
has been a great source of support and guidance
for my business. The provision of consultants
has been especially helpful providing guidance
tailored to my individual business needs. The
speakers at the business clubs have been
motivational and the networking opportunities at
these events have been a great opportunity to
share experiences and provide mutual support. . I
would advise graduates considering joining the
project to follow your passion. I have learned
that good communication and networking is
important to succeed along with a determination
to keep going. The Future? I plan to extend the
lines on my business to include products adapted
to interior design. I feel I now have confidence
and know l how to bring my ideas to reality.
