• On the most detailed drill-down map, identify
  what tasks must be done to transition from the
  current process to the future process
• Changed tasks are marked in a different color
• Configure the implementation tasks into a high
  level project plan format by
• Defining rough implementation phases
• Considering who would need to implement each
  element

PDSA Cycle

• Good way to test out your proposed changes as
  part of an implementation plan
• Four components to the cycle
• Plan Plan out your change and how to test it
• Do Try out the change on a small scale
• Study Analyze the results and compare them to
  what you predicted would happen
• Act Refine the change and prepare a plan for
  the next test

Performance Measures

• Generally fall into two types
• EFFECTIVENESS - Does the process achieve the
  desired customer outcome?
• EFFICIENCY - Does the process use resources well?
• Performance measures can also be used to monitor
  for continuous improvement
