Current Initiatives and Goals
  • Reduce Achievement Gaps
  • Increased technology in instruction and
    assessment purposes

10
Reduce Achievement Gaps
  • Restructure the process by which students are
grouped for mathematics- mixed grouping of
students, with one or two high groups as
    warranted
  • Eliminate low level mathematics classes- prepare
ALL students for Algebra I by 9th grade
  • Course specific diagnostic and benchmark
assessments- test by class/course, not by student
    grade level

11
Increased technology in instruction and
assessment purposes
  • Lessons are increasingly technology based in K-12
  • Grade level teams researching instructional
    resources
  • Utilize assessment data to plan individually
    targeted instruction, review, and interventions
  • Individual student conferences to analyze data
    and set learning goals
