• Because of the rise in gas price, to accurately
  program your thermostat correctly can help save
  consumers both time and money.

• Simplifies this growing complicated problem so
  even the most inept person will be able to
  program their thermostat by using everyday
  speech.
• Provides yet another way for user-to-agent voice
  communication

• Approach
• Thesis A form of voice recognition to activate
  thermostat. A database of natural language tasks
  that will be used for user-to-agent
  communication. The will allow user to easily be
  able to program even the most complex thermostat
  settings.
• Approach Using generic language (simple
  commands) for more successful user-agent
  communication. Through commands user will be able
  to manipulate times, days, and temperature as
  variables stored in a table or an approach that
  makes them more readily available.
• How Using an external microphone and taking a
  file created by Dragon Naturally Speaking 9 voice
  recognition software as the input to a Java
  program that changes the properties and maintains
  the output screen.

Empty Parking Space Detector

• Problem
• Frustration of not being able to find an empty
  parking space in a timely manner.
• Lot owners not utilizing their space or reaching
  the parking lot potential.
• Approach
• Thesis Using the same technology used in traffic
  light cameras but using it inversely to find
  where the is somewhere that is not being
  occupied.
• Approach Use the labeling method and allow users
  to see online where parking spot are available
  and make it available over cell phones. Use board
  that will light up for empty parking spaces
  available at all entrances.
• How Use the Lockheed Martin Traffic Detection
  cameras to detect emptiness rather that
  occupation and have it show its finds on a easily
  created smart light board that corresponds to
  parking spots by numbers.

• Allows the owner of the parking lot to better
  utilize and maximize space.
• Saves time, money, and effort on the account of
  everybody. Minimizes travel for customer.
